Entangled Hawthorn (Crataegus intricata) - A shrub or small tree, 1-7 m. tall, with dark-gray or reddish-brown bark; leaf-blades round-ovate to ovate-oblong, 2-7 cm. long, usually acute, rounded or contracted at base, serrate or incised; sepals glandular-serrate, 4-9 mm. long; corolla 2-3 cm. broad; fruit globose to oblong, 9-15 mm. thick, yellow, orange or red (at maturity); nutlets 3-5.

Habitat:

Pastures, wooded hills, rock outcrops, thickets.
